The Testing Process

Visual Check

We will complete a thorough inspection of your property for any and all signs of mold growth present. Our highly trained specialists make use of their extensive skills and knowledge of the industry to determine the best areas to test and the types of tests necessary. We will never try and upsell more tests than are needed and will always do our due diligence to ensure the tests conducted will provide the most accurate results.

Determining which tests to run

There are a few different options when it comes to mold testing, the most common being surface sampling and air sampling. Surface tests provide the types of mold found on that surface and a rough spore count with low, medium an high ratings. Air sampling utilizes a suction pump and cassette to draw air from the room through the sample slide and catch any mold spores present in the air. From there the lab analyses the sample and provides us the types of mold found along with the spore counts.

Lab analysis

Once the samples are taken, the results are sent to a local NYS certified lab for analysis. Those results are then emailed to you the property owner along with a follow up call to discuss the findings and the next steps if remediation is necessary.
